How the field guide works.

Rough screening estimates stay separate from manufacturer-specific installation requirements and commercial recommendations.

Commercial relationship

InHouse Wellness is the featured retail partner on TubsAndSaunas.com. When the database contains a relevant InHouse Wellness sauna or cold-plunge product, those offers are displayed prominently and may be listed before other sources.

Product prominence does not change the mathematical inputs used by the footprint or electricity calculators.

Product data

The repository includes a starter catalog and a scheduled updater that attempts to refresh public product information from the InHouse Wellness sauna and cold-plunge collections. Prices, availability and specifications can change; users should verify the live retailer and manufacturer page before purchase.

Electricity estimates

The basic calculator multiplies rated kilowatts by estimated run time, frequency and an electricity planning rate. It does not model thermostat cycling, chiller duty cycle, ambient weather, insulation, pump behavior or utility rate structures.

State planning rates are stored in a local data file. The included updater can replace them with U.S. Energy Information Administration residential retail-price data when the repository owner supplies a free EIA API key. If no key is configured, the site continues to work using the local planning values.

Footprint estimates

Footprints are broad screening ranges based on equipment category. Actual units require manufacturer-specified dimensions, clearances, ventilation, drainage, service access and code compliance.

No engineering or medical advice

The site does not determine whether an electrical installation, slab, deck, plumbing arrangement or drainage solution is safe. It also does not make individualized medical recommendations. Use qualified professionals and manufacturer documentation where appropriate.
